NAAAP National Convention, San Francisco Twenty-two delegates from Atlanta attended the NAAAP National Convention, San Francisco, Aug. 12-14, 2010. Featured speakers included CIA Director, Leon Panetta. We had a strong showing of senior leaders among NAAAP Atlanta's sponsors, including Coca-Cola, UPS and Kimberly-Clark.

Building a Playground for Venetian Hills Elementary School NAAAP Atlanta joined forces with UnitedHealthcare and the Venetian Hills Community on May 22nd 2010 to build a playground within one day. We provided the men and women power to implement the resurrection of Venetian Hills Elementary’s first ever playground! We worked in conjunction with various volunteers and organizations within the Atlanta community. The children of Venetian Hills have only had bits and pieces of a playground, but now they have a fully interactive playground, picnic tables, and a hand painted United States map on concrete to play and learn on. We are proud of our participation and we are grateful for the lives we have touched. We look forward to impacting more lives and making new friends! Thanks to Thao Le for leading our NAAAP volunteers on this project.

N3 - July 15, 2010 Almost 100 NAAAP members and guests attended today's N3 at Taki Japanese Steakhouse on Ashford-Dunwoody Road. Felix Chan, the GM of the restaurant hosted us with a wide array of appetizers and door prizes. We're pleased to announce that Que-Ann Cooney was named the Spot Award winner - recognizing her for her volunteer help and impact in NAAAP Atlanta.
