Events are a way for members to engage in professional development, cultural awareness, networking, and community service activities. We offer a wide variety of events. Look around, and chances are you'll find an event which fits your needs. In addition to NAAAP events, we co-sponsor many events with other Atlanta organization.

Many of our events are designed to bring out fresh new faces and are open to everyone. However, some events are open to members only. Member exclusive events may range from rare opportunities to interact with a national speaker to our mentoring program.

NAAAP Events Calendar

Need to finance your business? Need operating funds? Need to start your business? Interested in starting or expanding your existing business?

The Chinese Business Association of Atlanta (CBAA) will host an educational seminar and panel discussion about Small Business Loans on March 13, 2010 from 3:45pm to 5:45 pm at Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library, 9560 Spruill Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022 (770-360-8820).

The seminar is open to public and will be presented by local banks and the CBAA.

 I. Mr. Ling Chiang, a veteran of the commercial lending industry, will discuss:

  • Types of lending institutions (banks, commercial finance companies/asset-based lenders and credit unions)
  • Various types of small business loans.
  • Advantage & disadvantage of each type of loan.
  • How do banks evaluate loan request. What are they looking for?
  • Importance of profit & cash flow.

II. First Intercontinental Bank will discuss its loan programs including SBA loans.

III. Mr. Joel K. Wilsford, an ex-asset-based lender and currently the CFO of Maxmouth.com, will discuss asset-based lending from both a lender’s perspective and as an entrepreneur.

IV. SunTrust Bank will also join the presentation and discussions

The seminar is open to public. Refreshments and soft drinks are served. Interested individuals are welcome to join for dinner and networking at a local Chinese restaurant after the seminar.
