NAAAP Atlanta Introduces its 2012 Board of Directors

ATLANTA - January 20, 2012 - The Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP Atlanta) is proud to announce its selections for the 2012 Board of Directors.
Tamara Strickley (Project & Program Lead, Accenture) and Betty Lo (Newell-Rubbermaid) will continue in their previous roles as President and Chairman of the Board and VP of Strategy and Planning, respectively. Ketan Shah (Founder & CEO, Digital Xpress Printing) will transition from VP of Marketing and Communications to a new role as VP of Community Relations. Sarah Hawk (Shareholder in the Atlanta office of Ogletree Deakins ) will transition from VP of Professional Development to NAAAP National Liaison, where she will serve as Atlanta’s voice to the National level as well as hold a manager’s position on NAAAP’s Operations. Serving on the Board for the first time are Jason Abbott (Consultant, the St John Group), who will serve as VP of Marketing and Communications, and Ashley Mack (Staff Accountant, Lennox International) who will assume the role of VP of Member Relations. Both Jason and Ashley have previously contributed to NAAAP Atlanta in a leadership capacity. Annie Chen (Financial Analyst, Acuity Brands Lighting) is newcomer to NAAAP Atlanta, and will join the Board as VP of Finance and Operations.
NAAAP Atlanta also acknowledges its outgoing Board members for their dedication and leadership: Ed Hwang who continues to serve as NAAAP National’s Chairman of Board; Melissa Cannon; and Lisa Inthavong and Matt Sinon, both of whom will continue to serve NAAAP Atlanta in different capacities.
NAAAP Atlanta would like to thank the 2011 Board of Directors, along with the directors, committee members, and volunteers who have contributed their time and skills to better positioning NAAAP Atlanta as a leading professional organization.
The 2012 Board of Directors is looking for individuals to serve on various leadership teams, and welcome interested volunteers to reach out directly to one of the Board, or send a message to volunteer@naaapatlanta.org.
